CEREBRA is an AI-powered software for early stroke diagnosis for faster and more accurate treatment, available as a cloud platform on a PC and a mobile application.
Since January 2021, we have launched pilot project in 13 hospitals in Kazakhstan. We also have agreements to conduct pilots in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and South Korea (Asan Medical Center). Regarding financing, we got USD 50,000 investment from Quest Ventures (capital venture fund in Singapore) and USD 1,000,000 from Timur Turlov (CEO of Freedom Finance).
Problem or Opportunity
The main problem of stroke lies in its diagnosis, which must be carried out during the initial critical 6 hours, in order to start immediate treatment and prevent brain death. Currently, this is rarely possible using CT scan due to the inability of the human eye to detect minor changes in CT image.
Solution (product or service)
Since 2018, we have been developing CEREBRA, the software that uses machine learning to help doctors indeed see stroke signs during the necessary timing, increasing the number of successfully treated stroke cases. CEREBRA is available as a cloud-native platform on web and mobile application. Use case: brain image from the CT scan is analysed by machine learning algorithms to detect stroke symptoms and quantify them using ASPECTS scale for ischemic stroke and blood volume for hemorrhagic stroke. The analysis can be used by doctors to choose the most appropriate treatment.
Currently, we are conducting pilot projects in hospitals for free. When we obtain the medical certification for Cerebra as medical software (in progress), we will be allowed to sell it to hospitals and our business model will be based on monthly subscription.
